This is a falseta in the key of G# (or Ab) altered Phrygian or as they say “por minera”. This is a nice falseta that works well when playing Alegrias in E major being that G# is the third degree of the scale and where the Phrygian mode starts. There are a few interesting tritone type of chords in this piece as well as some chromatic chords used in a melodic fashion. The melody is all played with the thumb with a few index strokes on the 1st string to even things out a bit.
